    sharks man...i din know time was 8pm...went at 8.45 then wondering how come so little people...got a ang mo and a lady told mi it was at 8 but i still waited till 9.30 to confirm...feel so cheated...

    nvm...will go again...i hope for eve they dun shot gun and fire early again...

    Strange .. having some problem editting posts and picture links.

    But anyhow... here's my take for that night. Pardon the signature - this isn't taken last year.

    The slew of Ducktours boats and other smaller craft caught my attention to get ready:

    May I know what aperature & ISO speed you are using? Need any flash? Can able to share as I understand speed must be quite fast otherwise can't able to capture a good shots.

    u may try Bulb Mode with remote cable plus tripod, f 11 to f16

    Went there last nite. Started at around 7:55pm and i was caught off guard while talking to my friends, but fortunately my equipment was all set up.
    Canon EOS 5D, 24-70 f/4 L IS, 50 f/1.2 L, 70-300 f/4-5.6 L IS, 600EX-RT. Sigma 12-24 f/4.5-5.6 EX.

    Always set up ur equipment at least 1.5 hr in advance when shooting fireworks.
    Most good angle will be taken if you arrived later than that. Just like the 2006 New Year Eve. I've waited for 5 hrs just to watch & photograph that 10-15 mins of fireworks display.
    A real pain in the a**.

    I think even if we go now, most of the good places are already taken, not need to wait till 1.5 hours before the fireworks display.
