The idea of using 50mm theme this year just popped into my mind.
Create this thread first... now going out to shoot. ![]() *edit* I've got a photo blog set up in my webspace. It will be used in compliment with this APAW. Do pop by my snap-log.

First photo of the year.
Self Reflection. An abstract self portrait of my shadow. A little about the photo. It's very contrasty and a little glaring to look at. Well that's what I think it's me. When in the light, there are dots of grey/black. But even in the shadows, there are spots of lights. There's just some little part of me that just like to go against the majority. ![]()

I've a few of my nicer photos printed and displayed in my home. However, they are always by themselves.
Today, as the sun set and shined into my home, I've seen this interesting scene. Took it and PS it into something abstract. ![]()

This week, it's all about our energy resources. Captured in this frame shows a source of light, signifying solar power and a branch of a wind-blown tree signifying wind power, and of course, the futuristic lamp signifying the march of our technology.... if only they work as well together in real life.

Most of my shots this week are made wif my new 30mm lens... (about 50mm after 1.6x). So not much pics left to choose from 50mm lens.
I picked this front door, shot while I was early for a morning shoot. I love the "shoot-through" feeling and the door is OOF just enough to keep it vague. ![]() |

Not much time to shoot this week. Gotta confess, this is sorta staged as the spider moves around too fast.
Wish can focus closer with my 50mm. ![]()

Life sometimes sux. The below pic is my interpretation of my life. While trying to branch out, met with a couple of dead-ends and the current branch is already dying.
![]() Forgot to bring my 50mm, so end up using 24-105 @ 50mm (at least it's 50mm recorded in exif). Afterthought.... I should have vignetted the edges a little too.
