I thought the garden roof top of the Esplanade was not accessible for the Count Down?
When I looked up from below at around 10pm, I only saw a few people up there and there was some tentage set up for filming on one side. So I presumed it was off limit to the public. |

thanks to all the brothers that replied... the roof top terrace was cordoned off for VIP access only. Lucky to be invited. There were still a row of tripods up there right against the edge overlooking the bay area... Din manage to squeeze right in front, so settled for a spot further down away from the crowd. I think that it was a nice experience overall.
Without smoke ah... erm my settings were F11-16 shutter speed 3-8 sec and ISO 200. Din really go all out to eliminate the smoke... just happen that maybe the wind was blowing the smoke away from my direction. Lucky i guess... Thanks once again for viewing. Cheers! |

No wonder can shoot from there. When I saw very few people on top there, I presumed it was not open to the public or otherwise it would be extremely crowded up there. Those on the right side of the roof top must have gotten an extremely good view for the event. Last edited by Clockunder; 1st January 2007 at 09:53 AM. |
