Someone told me that this is really good quality fireworks shots. Can share with us your exif info for each shot. Just shutter speed and f/stop will be fine... Thanks |

The ones from the buildings are good.
Something very different from the usual fireworks. |

TS, maybe you could try to expose the buildings better. (open up the aperture a stop larger?)
Good effort overall. Thanks for sharing. |

Yeah, though so too. But I did face a problem, if I expose an aperture larger, I were afraid that the fireworks may be over-exposed since I were so near to them. Yeah, the CBD backdrop would make for an interesting background. Thanks.

2nd photo: F13, 6s at 75mm 3rd photo: F16, 8s at 40mm 4th photo: F13, 4s at 18mm 5th photo: F13, 4s at 18mm 6th photo: F16, 6s at 18mm 7th photo: F18, 6s at 24mm 8th photo: F18, 5s at 40mm All taken at ISO100 using Nikon D80 and kit lens, manual focus. I also used a cable release which I find useful as I am able to follow the timing of the fireworks better. Thanks. |

Whether the fireworks will get blown out at F/8 depends very much on how close you're to the fireworks, the intensity of fireworks bursts and also whether they're overlapping ....in addition to other camera settings for exposure.
A smaller aperture will of course give a finer (i.e. thinner) fireworks trails which would help in avoiding overlapping fireworks blown out. Last edited by Clockunder; 2nd January 2007 at 05:23 PM. |
