I still catch nothing, there were 3 interested in the "LC-A" B&S, but I can't tell which CSer is the one screwing around.

    very common lor..

i just bought something off another forum recently, the seller tell me "sure correct, if wrong I take back and refund you" when I brought it back, it's really wrong.

Then he sms me "ok I got to find transport, give me a few days" later on refuse to answer my call or sms, but actively posting on the forum.

Met a 'disappearing' seller who told me he decided to give away the item ... hours before we were supposed to meet. I waited a whole week for that weekend to deal ... and ... grrr! Probably someone offered something more ... duh!

I agree, I've been quite lucky actually. Once, I even got a free filter thrown into a lens deal.

..had that too....seller who agreed on price but asked for higher price when altready half way to meet up - becos someone offered him higher.....but there also some who were pulling out but make a point to complete the sales when they realized that I was already on the way....just part and parcel of making sales/purchase.....where money is the sole principle they hold....

I've been in some US forums where there is a dedicated thread on who is good to go and who is a no go for the buy and sell section.

Maybe we can do the same thing here.

Have met price stated in CS but seller realised the market demand situation and he immediately wanted a higher price.
The sole purpose of the CS Marketplace ad was to use the first person who responded to buy at stated price, for the seller to jack up the price even higher. Usually the advert in CS marketplace then drags on for weeks.....months..... (yawn).

What a freaking waste of time just for a miserable few dollars more.

So there are now threads that are forever continuing way past the stated selling price, as seller leave messages, e.g.
"now the offer is $X....anyone offer higher?"

Wonder if the item is ever sold.

Have also met another seller's price before and exchanged many PM to make arrangements. All like real, as though the deal going through, then all of a sudden no further communication heard.
Never seen again using same nickname in CS.
Maybe a psycho case, having some "virtual marketplace experience" on Internet.

Don't bother too much about it.

I have seen CS ads (dragged on for a long time) for used items that are maybe $10 or $20 less than BRAND NEW with warranty price from the shops.

personally, i feel that bargaining is part and parcel of a sale. so if the seller decides to hold for a higher bid, i don't see anything wrong in that. however, he/she must state the intention clearly that he/she is holding for a higher offer or not.

however, once the deal is agreed by both parties, i think its the responsibility of both to commit to that deal. if anyone should back out, i believe all its common courtesy to inform the other party and not just disappear.

well..... anyway, this is just my personal opinion.
