Gotta warn you though... those foam are my personal add-ons... they dun come with the box. The standard is only a flat thin black foam sheet.

    Hi,

May I ask which specific "70" model did you order and where did you order from please? Thank you.

    So what size is your???

For myself, I rather use 2 small one then one big one.
One for seldom use items or lens. Another one for active use.
    Idea good bo?
Oh yes, don't say power usage high. Digi Cab only cost peanuts to operate

XC must have gone for the AD-70 (Digital) since he paid $188 and have special freebies like the drybox See here

Totally agree but that is about $100 more
Do you have to change AAA batteries for the DHC model like the AD model?

Well, I never had to change any batteries yet.... none stated in the manual anyway.

No batteries needed actually. All run on power.

You are right, Francis! I just called Digihub. DHC series cabinet don't require AAA battery. And both AD and DHC use new dehumidifier since Nov shipment. But he also commented that "If the cabinet you are buying is only for photographic equipments storage i think AD series cabinet is sufficient." Anyway, nothing beats going for the best

    thats right.

i prefer the digital meter because that have been many reports of the anologue one losing accuracy in few years time.

The AD70 works great in terms of time taken to bring down humidity after opening for a long while, important for my studio usage.

Wanted to get bigger but 70 is just small enough to fit into my car boot.

I got my DHC-60 delivered today. First impression, very nicely built and de-humi very fast. However, mine cannot rest evenly on the floor as it does not have adjustable legs. Called the manufacturer and they were willing to replace the cabinet. However, I told them not to bother as this was small matter that can be rectified easily on my own.

If you have a little more to spend, get the DHC model. Doing your setting is really easy. You won't regret.

Enjoy the equipment... they'll work hard even without us fussing over them.

That's the best part about it.

I'm putting some other stuff to dry also occasionally.... (like my fly-tying materials) hahaha
