Talking Looking for Blur-ers out there!

Hi! Jus joined after reading about it in the Computer Times. So, anyone out there, owns a digital cam and doesn't know what to do with? Well, I'm one of them! First started taking pics of all sorts and then it hit me; why not learn to take pro shots? Yah, why not?
Well the problem is that my digi cam is a 2 mega pix, Fuji A201 and it quite limit my ability to try out fancy stuffs.
Any kind hearted soul out there want to share some pix or tips using a simply cam like mine?
    Appreciate your kind help!!

Hi ahblur, you have come to the right place!

First of all, you have to get the misconception (IMO) that one can only take good pictures with more advance cameras (which are also more expensive) out of your mind. You can still practice proper exposure, composition and other techniques with entry-level ones!

Although we can't ignore the wealth of additional flexibility that a better camera can give to a photographer (I want that too!) but as long as one doesn't make full use of it or practise the right techniques, the outcomes are still pretty much the same.

Better still, join us for SEEDs and photoshoots; we're basically a friendly bunch. Pictures still paint more than a thousand words right?

    Default Newbie here too!

    Hi all,

I'm a newbie here too, bought my C730 last mth and still trying to learn much more abt it and taking pictures...been reading alot of the posts and they've been a great help!!!

Just a qns, from all the readings...it's correct to say that the larger the picture size means better the quality right?
Wat i dun understand is y does a 1280x960 (high) take up more space on the storage card than a 2048x1536?

    very simple, 1280x960 > 2048x1536
of course, given that things like jpeg compression etc etc are not taken into account
