Default chomp chomp (serangoon gardens) hokkien mee

    hi,

just came back from chomp chomp and found that the famous hokkien mee store has changed boss....

why change boss ah? anyone knows?

donkey years never go liao.... the store when change boss one?
tried the hokkien mee, the standard also pretty good... but it seems that the thin bee hoon is not as thin as last time one...

prefer if they use the really thin bee hoon...

    any opinions?
Hope to learn from everyone here....

Most hokkien mee use the thick bee hoon. Only this one stall that I know used to use the thin one which I prefer. Maybe becasue the thin one breaks up too easily?

The latest I've seen for Chomp Chomp as a whole is 12am. Not sure if it will operate even further.

the hokkien mee still very nice, but the super thin bee hoon is changed to a slightly thicker kind of bee hoon....not the usual kind very THICK bee hoon from typical stores in hawker centres, the new boss is using thinner bee hoon... just not as thin as last time

i would rate the hokkien mee at chom chomp(new boss) 9/10
    AMK centre one is 8.5/10
kovan (simon road) is 8/10 if you eat there, pack away ask for newly fried one, the pre-packed is 5/10 (too dry)
old airport road (donkey years never go liao): 9/10
serangoon road (near the french store): 7.5/10
bedok (near tana merah there): shui xian jing, heard a lot abt it from friend, but never tried
Hope to learn from everyone here....
