this 10 year old girl carries her younger brother on her back everyday & wanders around the mountains of Sapa in close to 0 degrees celsius weather in hopes of finding any scraps of food for her family. every hike she makes through the treacherous terrain from her remote village to the nearby town is close to 8 kilometres

Now that's touching.... shots like that really melt my heart and make me ponder why I still grumble about my life. With that brief intro can really feel her strength from your shot as a 10 year old young gal whose eyes do not project the slightest fear or disappointment of how tough life is for her.....

thanks for understanding...& yes life is very very tough there...but they don't know the meaning of giving up..but just to carry on walking

hi thx for ur kind comment but this is just a little snapshot that i wished to share with the community...
there are many brave men & women out there taking great images of life...& they should be the ones who shld get their shot in nat geog & the press.

very, very nice! the dirt stains on her face alone is enough to speak of her struggles, but its her eyes that speak of pure defiance and strength in spite of her situation. i saw a very touching picture even before reading your comments below it.

Thanks renegade150 for sharing this photo, I am deeply touch by it. I am pondering why people waste food here. If those wasted food were to be given to them, imagine how happy were they be.

I saw kids here very choosy on food, some parents even have to force their children to eat a meal.

Never have I felt so deeply.
