Thanks! not really macro, i was using 50mm + close up filter.
The DOF was very shallow as i had to use F1.8, no tripod!

Nice display of the various flowers, eps when putting them together.

Agree with you that the DOF was very shallow with F1.8 and pics are bit soft on my screen. If you are using 50mm F1.4 lens, may try F1.8. For 50mm F1.8 lens, may need at least F2.2 ~2.5 to get a decent sharp pic.

Thanks for the advice! I'm using F1.8, can't afford the F1.4.
Without tripod i can't use anything above 2.2, even with ISO at 1600, shutter speed falls to around 1/8 or even slower.

With my mighty tripod, i went on a second try and the results were indeed better. especially when i leave aperture at F8 and above. look out for my next post, hopefully can do some more collages, quite addicted to it =)
