Default D1 Drifting

Heard that there was some sideways action going on so popped over to have a look and saw a couple of dozen cars and one small drift course.

Only 4 photos to show for it:

mind if I ask howd U find out abt this?

looks like either it was a casual "relak relak" shoot or the drifting wasnt impressive enough?

even with the low shutter speeds, the car isnt fully sharp...

People tell other people, and other people told me.

Its a grapevine thing.

But yes, it consisted of two slow speed corners with a very short run up that makes it very hard to get the momentum to do anything other than a slow drift. But drifting in Singapore is at its infancy and I suppose local drivers need to learn to walk before they can run.

It was part of the Malaysian D1GP series, I think.

IMHO, the pic doesn't tell me it's drifting with close-up shots. Only #2 gave somewhat a sense of it. The rest are all based on car type. It would be good if the cars were going sideways on a straight stretch. it would be more dramatic.

Yup all points noted, which is why there's only 4 shots, usually I post more if the takings are good. It might be more telling that I only showed smaller cars because the larger and heavier cars were not drifting very well due to the slow speeds. As you can see, even the black and white Trueno is understeering instead of drifting.

i thought CS got this regulation about cannot not posting car numbers?
anyway I love #1 best! How the water sprays in and hits the car while it drifts into the spray of water. The water bouncing off forming that white smooth flow of water deflection just creates the flow of motion.. super thumbs up for that!

There's no regulation on Clubsnap, and no standing law in Singapore that photos showing car licence plate numbers cannot be posted. Mycarforum has their own rule for doing that and that is their own jurisdiction which I respect.

Until such a time Clubsnap prohibits licence plates from being posted, I see no need to hide the plates.

Yes, seems like all the Truenos in Singapore crawled out of the woodwork to strut their stuff sideways on the course! I wonder where the Levins are though......
