Nice shots.
The 1st shot is actually the Dark Glassy Tiger - Parantica agleoides. The Blue Galssy Tiger in your 2nd shot is feeding on the flower of Heliotropium, which the butterfly group recently introduced into AH. This plant is not common in Singapore. Danainae butterflies are attracted to this plant. Last edited by Green Baron; 10th February 2003 at 11:07 AM. |

You are welcome. In Dark Glassy Tiger the 2 blue lines in the forewings are unbroken.
We have introduced both the caterpillar host plant and the butterfly of these 2 species in AH so you will be seeing more of them in AH. Like the Plain Tiger, they are easy (relatively speaking) subject to photograph. So the next time you photgraph these blue glassy butterflies, take a close look at the forewings to see if you can tell them apart. Gan |

Yup, the pic must be on the web and has a URL. The website that hosts your pic must be able to support hot-linking as well. No, you can't link from your hardisk. |
