The price quoted is really cheap!
They had bad experience trying to sell a Pentax camera? But itz an attractive pricing strategy to increase the Pentax masses which will translate into higher sales of Pentax stuffs! So, they got sell just 'Body' alone hor? Can someone please do AF test in lowlight plzzzzzzzz... ![]()

Just got mine this afternoon at AP for $1320 nett (body only w/ 1gb SD and a sling camera bag)
![]() We (I went there w/ another friend) didn't bargain 'cause we felt the price was quite okay. Had been waiting for it for too long, so didn't even think much before we made the payment Now I'm a happy Pentaxian ... Last edited by fengwei; 13th December 2006 at 11:13 PM. |

Just did a quite SR test after kids are all in bed. All following shots were taken by K10D + DA40 @ F4, 1/4s ISO 400 in JPG handheld, no PPing done w/ either one.
SR off: ![]() Center crop of the above: ![]() SR on: ![]() Center crop of the above pic: ![]() I've taken over 6 photos w/ SR on and 6 w/ SR off, all quite similar. You can judge by yourself if the SR works or not ![]() Cheers! |

AF in lowlight is definitely alot better than Ds, but I don't have a Ds to compare now. Read somewhere that the Nikon D80 is slightly faster w/ AF under low light condition but K10D has slightly faster AF in good light condition... |

You'll definitely see some pictures taken by this camera, 'cause it's the only dSLR camera I have right now Here is another one taken inside Alan Photo within the first minute after I picked up the camera (DA40 wide open in jpg): ![]() |

All DA/DFA lenses (except the DA70) are easily available at Cathay Photo and Alan Photo, and Pentax has alot DA/DFA lenses:
DA10-17 DA12-24 DA14 DA16-45 DA18-55 DA21 DA40 DA50-200 DA70 DFA50 macro DFA100 macro And there are some other lenses on the roadmap: DA35 DA55 DA*16-50 DA*50-135 DA*60-250 DFA200 DFA300 I've said it many times and I'd say it again, new Pentax lenses are easily available, it's not like what many others haven't been saying. Just go to Cathay Photo and see it by yourself Cheers. |

Woah, so i look for this uncle when i'm getting stuff from AP at simlim!
Your SR test is really convincing! ... and I have shaky hands... Do you feel any "clunky" movement/sound from within your K10D as reported by some users?
