hi, i'm new here...
am thinking of buying a Sony PD170 but saw the release of HVR-V1 and was wondering should i save up to get that instead? Any idea how much will HVR-V1 cost? also i see from expandore website PD170 going for $4.7k, anyone know where should i look for to get better price for the PD? appreciate your help guys :-) |

afew things you might wanna take into consideration when choosing a camera... - what sort of stuff are you going to shoot? - who is going to view your 'final-product' - whats ur budget? (below SGD 6k ? - I presume you prefer HDV compared to SD Reagards, David |

If PD is 4.7k it is expensive in it's class.

i think you should consider your need ?
whether do u need it now ? or for future investmet. Honestly if you have bugdet. HD is definitely better than sd model. Try HVX 202. but its more expensive. My dream videocam for next year |

i think i will go for PD170,
anyone can advice where should i shop for it? and the price? (as i mentioned, expandore's price abt 4.7k) anywhere else i can get a better price? Thanks |
