i've seen vidz when pro take portraits, they have a big white board over the model(for outdoor).i think it sort of 'diffuses' the strong sunlight(if you shoot in storng sunlight).

1)is this 'thing' opaque or translucent?

2)any idea if i can get one in sgp?

3)any idea if it's foldable for transportation or it's not?(then transportation will be a problem).

no it's not a reflector.
this is something LIKE a reflector, may be round or rectangle, and it held ABOVE the model to block out the sunlight.

i cant tell if it's translucent, or 100% opaque.
am interested in getting one considering sgp's harsh sun rays.

Nowadays they come in many forms and sizes. Most can transform between diffusers and reflectors too.

Lastolite and Photoflex are two of the brands I know. They have both reflectors and diffusers and come in many sizes.
