Eneloops are just amazing.
I don't use it for my camera but I have one AA in my wireless mouse. Heavy usage and still going strong after a week. Better than the 2500mAh s, which lasted 5 days or so. Truly next-generation rechargebles! Last edited by Hybrid; 12th December 2006 at 09:51 AM. |

your mouse sucks battries man. I can use 2500mAh's for 2 weeks at least, and that's after 100/200 shots from the K100D. |

Can the typical Sanyo 2500 Ni-mH chargers re-charge the Eneloops?

Can other chargers like GP Battery Charger be used on the Eneloop?
If can, i think i want to hunt for a charger that can charge under 2 hours.

how about u just bite the bullet and get one that charge at 15mins? imagine u are shooting halfway and u are out of juice with no spare batts. U could just find a nearby power socket and charge it. Then take out a snickers and munch away and before u know it in arnd 15mins, ur batteries are fresh and good to go again! |

I think you should surf n find out for yourself. That's why, i think 2-hour charging would be more 'acceptable' to the battery. The longer the better.

Most quick charger under-charge the batteries leaving the batteries in a less than "full" charged condition. I am using and would recommend the Maha C401FS charger.

Interesting links to read about battery charging...
http://www.crypto.com/chargers/ http://www.batteryuniversity.com/index.htm Personally, I am more inclined to standard charging. It is true that heat generation is a big problem with fast charging. I used to work in a battery charging bay many years ago, and I learnt from work experience that fast charging actually requires a series of controlled charge-discharge pulses to reduce gassing and heat buildup. That said, Eneloop batteries is interesting regarding their impressive charge-holding ability.

For anyone who is thinking of getting a charger which can charge ur batteries in 15 mins, pls note that the charger has a rather big transformer connected to it which can be a hassle if u want to bring it for travelling. But it would be finf if u are just gonna use it at home. I personally prefers fastest 2hrs charge chargers. Feels that my batteries are not overworked...
