Default how to open a lock?

i chain (cable type) my bike in front of my HDB flat (to a water pipe for the block)
but i lost the only key.
Obviously i cant remove the pipe.
how could i unlock the cable lock?
is there any locksmith i can call? (how much would they charge, what's there number)
or other way to remove it?
the bike has been there for like 3 months now and i really want to use it.

Dun know locksmith's no. ? Me, I got too many locksmiths numbers.
Check your letterbox or near your doorbell, should have a lot of those locksmith stickers stuck on top of each other.

    how about a crowbar
    or a cutter

    maybe even a hacksaw
just make sure you have your IC and receipt with you when you do it.
you could even call the neighbourhood police post and tell them that you
are going to cut the cable of your bicycle.

you could request the assistance of your town council to cut the chain or break the lock in your presence. i had, on few occassions, ask them to cut abandoned bicycle chains near my block. they did it.

You can also buy a pair of lock/bolt cutters from your friendly DIY store.

Like mentioned earlier, get a cutter from hardware shop.
Tell them what exactly you need to cut.

Calling a locksmith would be very expensive, I won't be surprised if they quote you $80 for picking it.
