Default Pentax Shake Rduction (SR)

Hi all,
While some shots are great, I also noticed that others are not as sharp as , say, Feng Wei's shots. I leave SR on my K100D on all the time. For broad day light, would it have been wiser to switch the SR off. I get this impression when in day time, there is nothing much for the SR to do and it ends up hunting for a good spot resulting in object non-sharpness.
Wondering if my perception is correct.
thanks

I think, if the light is good, and your hand is stable, switch off SR will be better.

Just tested my K10D. SR 'on' with the 18-55 actually produces blurry pic. Switch off, the pic is sharper.
But with the 300/4.5, it is fantastic. I could hand hold at 1/8 n the photo is reasonably sharp.

300mm at 1/8s is something definitely worth mentioning about
i m still trying to break the 1/15s barrier with my 70-200vr.. no luck though..

is there any other thing else that u all like about the K10D ?? Something that cannot be found on other systems? Frankly, its specs is really amazing..

Hi
Another interesting question came to me.
If the camera is on the tripod, Macrob has concurred the SR should off.
But supposing there is strong wind and the image is vibrating slightly, do you all think SR on will help?

Yea, the Sv n TAv mode. When i was using Ds, sometimes i wish i can control n change the ISO faster. Sometime the cam wil up the ISO when i dont want it n dont up when i want it so. Ended up adjusting the Av n Tv. I find that is wasting a lot of time, especially when i m in a hurry (i like to shoot rc aircraft).
With the Sv mode. it will try to hold on to the ISO i hv selected.
Plus some of the functions that i had from my Z-1, missing in my Ds, is back in K10D!
- Hyper program and hyper manual
- Front dial
- dedicated switch for AFS, AFC,M

Too bad it dont do plain TTL anymore, so my Sigma EF500 super cant be used.

Yes.

But - the real answer is to put weights on the tripod so it stops vibrating.
