Default MH-C401FS or MH-C204W

Hello

I am looking for a new battery charger and I am aiming at those two(please don't ask me to buy the La Crosse charger. )

Which is better?

I am buying one for my parent's trip to Indonesia to replace my current dead GP and the charger would be used for many many many years to come. Both come with free battery and charging times are not too far off, so. For price wise, quite close, so I don't know whch one to buy.

Anyone any suggestions? Experiences? Which one is better?

Thanks all!

Each has different functions.

MH-C401FS (4 cell charger) has either a fast or slow charge, indipendent charging bays. Requires a power adapter brick. Further read here.

The MH-C204W (4 cell charger) has a refresh function and has to be charged/discharged in pairs. Does not require a power brick the adapter is built in (Just requires a power cable). Further read here.

Else, since you may be looking for 4 cell chargers, if you can, wait for the MH-C9000.

If cannot wait, I'll recommend the MH-C801D 8 cell charger that has all the functions of the MH-C401FS and MH-C204W.

Eastgear is still offering POWEREX MH-C401FS + 4 pcs 2700 mAH at S$49. I was there on Friday to purchase the MH-C9000 with no freebies. Though expensive, this is a battery charger with advance technology built in. I'm still trying out the various functions right now.

I don't think you can get this charge @ SLS. Better get it from authorize agent - Eastgear than to be cheated @ elsewhere.

Cheers.

Just buy MH-C401FS charger today. But, it come without the battery cover (on top of the charger). When I asked them, they point me to eastgear website that said they are no longer carry MH-C401FS with the battery cover. They told me that the cover make the charger (and batteries) very hot when charging, so they remove it.

Regards,
Arto.
