Default Any comments on mpu720

Thinking of getting the mpu720 for it's underwater and all weather features.

Anyone has tried the above feature? How's the image quality of this camera?

I bought a mju 720 from the IT show. You wont be able to image the fun unless you really use it yourself underwater. I took a lot of videos & images of my daughter in the pool and I never fail to impress my friends. Surprisingly, the video is very sharp and you can even playback the sound (only a little soft). Great cam and very tough too, I dont need too take very very special care of it like other electronic equipment, no special protection required. I was confident because I witness how they demo drop of the camera during IT show. Anyway, dont drop it lah (heart pain) but if accidentally i sure it will be OK.

I feel that 3m will be good enough, you wont go more than 5m unless diving and diving you are talking about more than 10m. I visited the Olympus roadshow yesterday at Orchard Rd (outside crown hotel) and realise that they have just drop their price to $649 w 1x512mb + 1x1GB + card reader + cordless phone +++++ . Honestly, I feel that all compact camera is almost the same but its really a good idea to make it waterproof. I had a ixus V3 before and once when I used it at the beach and accidentally drop it at the shore, i retrieve immediately but later the circuit board was corroded by the water that seep in.

It's much cheaper at Alan Photo, but without the cordless phone. Other free gifts still apply.

For mju 725 it can go underwater up to 5m but if we talk about swimming pool is only water level max 3m and if we talk about diving it will be down to 40m so you will need underwater housing, as you won,t stuck in 5m to take photo...so as wat i think is mju 720 is good enough , as for diving you only need to get a underwater housing
