I have had dogs since young, and learnt my lesson on life and death when the first dog passed away.
It is never easy for me, even now, when someone in the family move on. I have never seen them as pets. They are a part of the family, a little child. They are loyal, they pay attention and give you attention and demands for that too. They keep you company, they are there when sometimes, people cannot be. They are there as your pillow, you huggy toy, your licking machine. They are your personal clown, making you laugh with their antics.
Thank you for making me cry. Memories of the past dogs I had and cremated came back. But it was tears and smiles. Thank you for sharing this.
