    Please comment on the composition and framing of this portrait. If I adhere to the "Rule of 1/3," I'm afraid I shall have to crop either his left of right hand. Is this wise? Appreciate your constructive feedback.

    for this pic, i'd rather u crop more... since u already cropped off the elbows. might as well do it even more dynamically... lets say, crop of 1/8 from left, 1/4 of right, 1/6 of the top... u'll get what i mean.

    Rule of 3rd is just a guideline. It doesn't always = good.

    What I rather prefer for this pic would have give it a tighter crop (a.k.a. crop it closer) and throw away the useless background.
