How much did you pay for the Sony HC3 High Definition video camcorder? I might not be able to afford a professional video camera, so I am thinking of getting this one.

I bought mine at $2600. It is one of the more affordable HD camera in the markets.

Like to highlight one limitation is that there is not conventional mic input, got to use Sony intellegent mic. I get around this problem by using external sound recorder instead. A bit difficult in editing but better sound quality from external recorder.

I was quoted SGD$2350 by a Sim Lim Square 1st story shop. I am not sure if its the same brand/model.

It should be the same as there is only one model from Sony available at this price range. $2600 is the listed price.
