Bro,

Wonderful photos.
You captured the emotions of the runners quite well.
I admire the determination of the marathoners.

BTW, what was the lady in pic #12 doing ? Didn't quite get it.

Great pics!

The lady in pic #12 was running a campaign for clean environment (Straits Times today).

Thanks guys.
Pic 7 shows the runner just passed the last turn. His expression was touching when he saw the finishing line.
Pic 10. The runner was limping & grimacing in pain to complete the marathon. Strangers cheered him to go on.
Pic 11. The caucasian looked pale.
Pic 12 shows Ms Rima Chai crossing the finishing line whilst pulling the tire. Truely amazing feat. Looking at her reminds me of Lara Croft.
Have to admire all the runners

thanks for the pic, but some pics seem to be cropped too tightly..

I was hoping to see some pics taken that day, cause I was doing the running..
10Km already quite shiak for me. Next year I thought to go try the 21km.

There are not much crowd cheering on the way, so it was kind of demoralising.
Especially when Standard Chartered focus alot on those cheer leaders.

Hi Weng Wai,
Beautiful pics. I was also running on sunday and admire that Ms Chai crossed the finishing line pulling the tire. The human spirit can be stronger than the body.

Cheers,
harry

Hi Weng Wai,

Nice pics! Just out of curiousity. Did the first 2 contestants, one in Catwoman and the other in Spiderman costume actually complete the full 42km in those outfits? Amazing!

Yes - like the air I breathe

...one where man lives in harmony with his environment....instead of the current abuse and don't care attitude throughout the world. The question is how can we truely reduce the rubbish we produce? How can we reduce the energy we use? Both have an effect on global warming, pollution and destruction of our natural environment. Currently our ying and yang are not in balance.

My dream is for Singapore to be a showcase to the world on true green living. We are known as a "clean, green city". But look underneath the carpet and we know there is work to do. Although I am one person, I know there are many others who think the same and united - Singapore can do it!

Have an awesome day all - back this evening!

Hey thanks yes the cause is a dream at the moment - but for Singapore to be a showcase as being the most environmentally friendly country in the world (see thread 14) . To have the amount of rubbish we produce a week at least reduced to just a shopping bag. In offices for everyone to commit to reducing/recycling waste, reducing the energy we use (switching off all machine at the end of the day).....and this is only the start. I know we can do it.

Hi! Lady Ice, my Lara Croft, u definitely achieved some degree of awareness. Double thumbs up to u for your run on that day. I fumbled over my camera when I saw u dragging the tire & wondered how many kilos u covered. Muscles still aching?

Hey FWW - the muscles are all good - so can't have worked enough . Right ankle bad! About 15k, it started to ache, 18k it seemed to go (think it was the endorphines). A couple of hours after the run the shin ached, the next day the ankle was stiff and swollen. So it is getting TLC - bit frustrating as all my friends have been going for recovery runs and rock climbing However I am walking

By the way FWW - can I use your photo on my website? Send me your website and will put a link back to you
