    1. R studio lights bad for babies (less then 1 year old)?? I mean is it bad for the eyes? Should i reject taking for babies in a studio? If not, what r teh things to look out for???


    2. WHen doing studio protrait shoots, do u use closest subject forcusing or spot focusing where u have to constanly adjust the spot to where the model is?

    Well, in general, most of us would frown on flash photography for babies under 6 months of age. Their eyes are not accustomed or rather able to take bright lights yet...

    As for studio shooting, it all depends on what you're trying to do... You could do a series of OOF shots, or pin sharp right to the eye focus shots, all up to you.

    For fashion, they would be in the idea of having more of the model in focus and probably be shooting at f11...

    For some others who are in it for the artisitic merit could be shooting at f2.8 or even less for partial areas in focus.

    Flash photography is not advisable for baby shoot
    I wld recommend that you use softbox for continous light shoot. Tested with my photoflex softbox. results are very good!
