Thread: Outrageous overbilling by Singtel this month

    Default Outrageous overbilling by Singtel this month

    Got a Singtel singnet bill.
    It was over charged.
    Way over the top.

    called 1688
    got stupid digitised voice saying they go through billing changes.
    It assured me the bill is correct too.


    went to Hello shop to complain.
    the Singtel staff say complain no use.
    he also knows. he asked me to pay up and hope Singtel will adjust the bill later.


    which Minister do we complain to?
    will the one in AMK do?

    why is Singtel allowed to overbill hundreds of thousands of customers and expect them to pay up a horribly over charged bill?

    why did this not make it to STOMP or the NewPaper?

    Can the AG or Accounting head honcho fine Singtel so they will not do this again?
    so that heads will roll inside Singtel for doing this?

    If they have an internal exercise to rectify their accounting process, it is entirely their internal matter.
    it should never be an excuse to KNOWINGLY OVERBILL hundreds of thousands of customers.

    if they cannot get it right, then don't bill yet.

    wat do u mean by overcharge?? got to define clearly so u have a clear pt of arguement.

    yeah. we totally dun get what happened. mind explaning a little clearer? where was the overcharged in? 1900 calls? oversea calls? calculation error?

    Why overcharge... Maybe singaporeans are very submissive to authority?

    Empathize with you... My friend also seems to be overcharged. There's some change in billing date but in the process, it looked like he was billed more. I told him to call up those fellas at singtel.

    It took my cousin 5 months to get back 50 cents last time. She was overcharged. It was a pain every time the operator said Ok we will look into it and adjust your bill accordingly but when the bill comes, it was always extra. It's not the cost, it's the principle. 50 cents may be little but imagine....

    coming to $190.....wonder how they charge?

    called the stupid line and busy all the way....

    keep hearing the same voice operator to get me to call back later....cos the line is busy....

    mayb those callers also called to complain..

    intend to cancel when my contract ends..

    seems you're not the only one. i have another friend who wants to terminate her plan cuz she was overbilled too by a lot.

    singnet is now changing their billing cycle...so if its the subscription error...u mite 1 to check the charging cycle...

    I checked mine again. dreamerz is right, singtel is jus changing the singnet billing date(monthly cut off) to the 17th of each month.. also, the billing date is the 23rd of each month (least its for mine) so i guess they brought forward the bill for the month of dec to this months bill due to the christmas holidays.. unless singnet charges again during the next bill for dec.. den its a case of overcharging..

    den again.. is it a change of billing practice from after we have used to before we can use?

    hmm... is there something wrong here? how come the singtel staff ask u guys to pay & shut up, and there wasn't any news report on this...

    The bill show the charges from 13 Nov to 12 Dec.

    i also kena the singnet overbilling... the excuses they give is "billing adjustment". lets see next mth the bill will reflect any offset deductions or not.

    overbilled is one thing...
    i got billed for extra services which i do not even subscribe to...

    - the outdoor wireless
    - spam filter
    - email virus scan

    so nice of them to add such service to my account without my knowledge!!
    and is additional of 20 over dollars loh....
