Does anyone know whether in HK it is cheaper to get B&W stuff (papers, print tongs and so on). Am having a trip to HK next month so might want to drop buy to get some stuff.

Can visit Photo Technic in Central, not the cheapest but they have alot of Ilford and chemicals and colour slides (Fuji Kodak) too.
Shop is near Central MTR station and Lan Kwai Fong. Go uphill and turn right at the first street......Stanley Street (there are a few camera shops in there too, but pricey compared to Tsim Sha Tsui) Good luck! HS |

Here is another shop I remembered tht also has a stock of darkroom stuff (maybe even more than at Central):
Kowloon Photo Service 5 Woosung street, Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon Tel: 2385 7555 Closest MTR station is Jordan, when you get out at Jordan walk on Nathan Rd, in the direction of Mongkok, you will pass the Kowloon Post Office and when you are near a small crossing with a big Hotel (forgot name but it was refurbished recently) on your right hand side, turn left....Woosung street is the first street on the left. |

Just a note. With increased security check at the airport, the customs officers may insist that you put your paper through the X ray machine. You may run the risk of fogging your paper. Not sure if it's feasible to buy from Hong Kong back to Sg.

Don't put in your check in luggage, those X-ray machines use stronger rays..... HS |
