Default i really cant shoot birds :O

went to birdpark lately.really realised i cant do birding like you guys.

1st hands not strong enough.lens was way TOO heavy.

2nd,BLOODY birds DOESNT keep still.it's SO FRUSTRATING!i think i still prefer to shoot humans.

3rd, i cant take the kamikaze mosquitos.i counted 12 bites in all.%$@#&@

anyway, here are some pics which i think 'lookable'.the rest, either my alzheimer's handsyndrome not cooperating, or i was too bz slapping the bloody mozzies!LOL

C&C most welcome.(let me know how sucky i was please)

Pretty nice series of bird portaits Haha shooting animals always takes alot of patience and practice (as well as knowing some of thier behaviour) Well diffrent kinds of subjects appeal to different people (like how i dont really like to take poeple=p ).

Maybe you should visit JBP for often to check for better spots and understand more about bird behaviours

sometimes a monopod is better than the VR alone
especially for long periods of shooting

but a monopod + VR is better than either one alone

i logged in after work today and was expecting things like...

"crap pics"

"sucks"

"CMI"
or comments to that extent...
i noticed u guys are more forgiving to female newbies than to males.

ortega, i did brought a monopod.bloody gitzo one.still damn heartpain buying it.it's soooooooooooooo freaking ex for a 1 legged piece of .....!!@#$%

shots were done with VR on + monopod + 1.7TCII
i didnt switch to active mode as ALLAN advised me.next time i will try.

you guys are darn right.NO LENS is ever long enough for wildlife photography.
i really wished i had a 600mm.

and i noticed, with TC, it's REALLY a BUDGET way of going long and the results IMHO really cannot make it.so much so for a $570 piece of ....@##$@@#!@doh

btw, bird park and zoo entrance went up(i know donkey years ago went up liao but i donkey years ago didnt go till now )

what surprised me was the birdie park fee was $1 MORE expensive than zoo.

to revisit these places often i find it a bit ex...

Do not know what's wrong with your bird photos. To me they are well composed, good sharpness and very enjoy to look at.
