Default Regulating chemical temperature

Is there such a (inexpensive) device that can regulate water temperature, shot of getting something like a Jobo machine? There's a hydro-regulator for fish tank, but the range is a little low for slides development ...

Two inexpensive ways:

1. Two container for each chemical, one larger than the other. Place chemicals into the smaller container and chilled water into the larger one. Place smaller container into larger container. Regulate temperature with ice in the larger container. Monitor temperature with a decent thermometer.

2. Similar with above, except use one large and deep tray instead of multiple "larger" (see above)" containers.

For slides development u need quite precise tempreture (If i remember correctly) so any little variation in temp could mean a big difference, why don't u send it for commercial processing? The last time i process slides (without mounting) was probably abt 5-7$. IMHO leave processing to black and white where tempreature difference are probably not that critical.

Thank you for the suggestions guys

As to why not commercial processing? Mostly time ... but curiosity is in play as well. On top of which, if film processing become a niche process (and therefore ridiculously expensive), I will be able to do it on my own
