Thanks all. But is Superia Reala really much better than typical Superia film?

I used reala before, don't like the grain.
I'd prefer the slides. . |

My experience is a little different. Reala is a very fine grained film. In fact, for normal enlargements, it is virtually grain free. I find the colors from Reala film to be very pleasant and natural, rich but not overly saturated. The Reala film has a different color palette from the Fujichrome slides. So it depends on what you are looking to achieve. My preference is to use the slides (Velvia, Provia) for landscapes, environments, and use the Reala negative for people, portraits as the skintones are very nice.
I find the Reala colors to be much nicer than the regular Superia. Then again, all this perception is down to personal taste and therefore is subjective. |

). The film has an uncanny ability to draw colours out in bad lighting situations, and I guess that's a good thing. Just expose it normally, no fancy pants exposure compensation, and it'll be fine.My results from that shoot here : http://www.daletan.com/blog/?page_id=303 , the one that says Sculpture by the Sea 2006 I'm not sure if it's the same other Fuji developers, but I printed once with a Kodak developer and once with a Fuji one. The difference is BIG. When developing, go hunt for a decent Fuji fella, eh? Good luck! |
