Here's my first trial at HDR. As I'm still noob at the "merge to HDR" function of photoshop, as well as the tonemapping in photomatrix pro, I figured it is still best to DIY my hdr via layers and masks. C & C welcome. Also, pls share any better techniques to improve HDRs.

Pretty good results. The only thing now is to catch better weather and clouds.
The place is in Clementi, near sunset way. Pretty near my place ![]()

Hmmm rather well done, especially no.2. While some may prefer the "all-out" HDR look (contrast halos, extreme colour saturation etc) I'm more for the subtle look, where the HDR experience is seamless and the viewer doesn't know it's HDR until u mention it.
Take note of your light smoothing amount as it plays a great part in halo formation. I normally set mine at +1 or +2. Lower the strength abit and do custom dodge/burn in PS to fine-tune the effect. Do take note that at 512 pixels what u see on preview is hardly what u get. I try to work with the 1024 pixel preview render as it is slightly closer to what i'll get as a product. Cheers =) QX |

Go to Sunset Way, at "Clementi Street 14" (a small road leading to the carpark
) turn left into it. Park there and walk to the river. The bridge would be on your right. The bridge was built in 1960s, part of Jurong Railwal line, which had been shut down and abandoned.
