compatibility issues of 3rd parties

hi i've got a 20D and would like to know which 3rd party lens are more prone to showing err99 when mounted on a 20d...

i've previously tried Tamron 24-135 and Tokina 19-35 and so far till date there was no err99...

i'm currently looking at the Tamron 17-50 2.8... has anyone encountered err99 when mounted to a 20D or any canon bodies?

did you post this in the canon sub forum, you might get better response there
as this is a canon specific issue

I have a Tamron 17-50 f2.8 on a 350D and shot close to a 1k pictures w/out any problem.
