U can consider pushing ya services to those doing model shoots and stuff like dat? After all, I'd realised photos are meant to be printed, not viewed on some 17" LCD screen....

can be discussed. can be discussed.

however its still in its conceptual stage. there are discussions and meetings to be held over this event.

we need models. studio owners to come in. and of course.. we need people who are interested to take on this project. and its not going to be free or be paid kinda thing.

it means photographers have to pay for the shooting opportunity.

Biz is booming, moving to a bigger premise next month. Bringing in more equipment for wider offerings.

Interesting that you said that images are meant to be printed, some are only good for viewing . 96% of shots are meant for harddisk storage .

Seemed like a fun project, just want to piggy-back on the fun . Biz is secondary .
Got budget pay a bit more, no budget pay a bit less. It's being fun working with photogs.
The satisfaction of printing great shots had been most fulfilling.

Was in Beijing for duck, was there some 6 years back. Wow, what a transformation for Olympic!

Also bought some tools for case-making and binding, being getting a lot of requests for "just for one" printed personalised cover and need faster delivery. It'll be a standard item with jacket and slip-case soon.

    Hmmm.... So big?

Maybe a product shot poster would be more like it.

I guess that depends on how big the studio is.

I got a suggestion: How abt putting different timeslots for photographers, each an hour or three apart. Limited slots per day, carried out over like 2 or 3 days. In that case, each photographer can have the model to himself for like the few hours.

P/S: If u guys are doing studio, count me out.

    Just a thought:

If you want to do this like they do in the commercial world...

    (1) get an art director to come up with the Big Idea
    (2) produce it (get the model/talents, location, props, etc)
    (3) shoot it with the art director
    (4) get a d.i artist to d.i it
    (5) print it and send for awards

That's in a nutshell. But a pretty big and hard nut to crack.
