Hi
I am using Premiere 6.5 to make slide show from photographs. I use the motion function and zoom in the vertical shots to fill the frame. Thats about 200% , ie half of the original pic. On photoshop, it looks like a lot more to zoom in without jaggies but when i do it with the premiere6.5, there's too much jaggies What should i do to keep it useable ??? |

You can use "image pan" for this.

It is in the video effects, under distort if IIRC.
Premiere 6.5 resize your photo to fit the screen size. If you zoom in, it will pixilate thus the "jaggies". New version of Premiere do not have this problem (I think... ). Image pan will help make full use of the resolution. (Note: Your photo has to be high res in the first place...)Last edited by SnapSnap; 24th November 2006 at 11:19 AM. |

Glad that I can help.
There must be many ways of applying video effect to all the clips... What I will do is this: - Complete my editing - Select everthing as a "virtual clip" - Apply the video to the "virtual clip" Note: I have not tried to do this before... you can find the function at the timeline window, top left hand corner, 2nd box, IIRC. |

Premier 6.5 accepts jpeg files. I do not have to do anything special to my jpeg files.

Just go to the bin area, right click, then, IIRC, import files... You should be able to browse and find your jpeg.

an interesting possible cause i found on the internet :
http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=192278 ".......You are correct, everytime you edit and save a jpeg you loose a little quality. The main reason I use bmp, is because my Premiere dosen't import jpeg. I think it is because I didn't install QuickTime with initail Premiere Install...." its quite informative site |
