4 photos that I feel are representative of the K100d ![]() These are available at 100% on the site itself. The dragonfly is to show the noise at ISO800, reminds me of Nikon D100. The swan is ISO200 with fill flash -2EV Note the overkill reds on the ixora, it was adjusted in camera to a bluer tone already. AF is v fast, one of the few cams I bother to use any AF point other than the centre. But AF drive v strong, slams the lens like Nikon D1 on cheap lens. Lens is q sharp, beats the 400D even though at 6mp. Visible difference. One negative so far, left the Pentax connected to PC. Drained the full batt completely! Surprised, wondering if it's the lack of sleep mode, or the Vista beta is continuously refreshing the pictures??? And metering a bit weird, tends to underexpose to favour every little bright patch. Batt life is q good, still full batt after 70~ shots with 50% flash. What really attracted me was the extras like tying metering point to AF point. In camera POST-capture tone adjustments. DOF precapture (aka polaroid test). Auto ISO can go 200-3200. Very clean at 200-400, 800-3200 q jialat like D100.
