    Default PowerEx/Maha Charger advise?

Hi guys was wondering if you can provide some comments/reviews on these chargers.

I already have the MH-C401FS charger for my batteries but realised that I will be needing more them and so the contemplation to get another charger or upgrade.

From the maha website, any reviews for the MH-801D or the MH-C800S? Are they both sold in Singapore and for how much?

Should I just get another 401 or upgrade? If upgrade then to 801 or 800?

    thanks all!

If I understand you correctly, you need to charge more than 4 AA's, right?

    Eastgear selling the Maha MH-C808M:

Maybe can consider getting nuther 401.
Pro - if one die, got another. cheaper than a 8 x AA charger.
Con - use one more ac connection.

Thanks for your comments. For existing users of 800 or 801 series, any comments on them?

801C-so far so good. I usually set it on "softcharge" which takes about 2 hours or so.
I have the C401 as well... I reckon the 801 is slightly better. Hope this helps...

The connection from the charger to the batteries only got +ve and -ve terminals so there is no way for the charger to know what is the max capacity of the batteries connected beforehand. The charger will just base on voltage and current profile (maybe even temperature) to determine when the batteries connected are fully charged.

Short answer, yes, can charge 2300mAh or higher capacity, just that higher capacity batteries take longer to charge.

using the 801. so far performing well. the indicators and independent charging per batt is a good feature. Save time if you need to charge 5 to 8 batts at one go.

Thanks for all your comments so far. Just curious, why did you guys choose the 801 over 2 units of 401 since the cost of 2 units of 401 is still cheaper than the 801!

Slow charge on the 401 take approx 5hrs (2500mah)(1~4 batteries)

Soft charge on the 801 takes approx 2hrs (2500mah)(1~8 batteries)

    Time is money !

I have two 401 one 801 (use the 801 at home one 401 in the office and one 401 for traveling)
