Err...your len is so sharp that even the "flaw" in their faces are exposed.

Back to the topic, I find that if you're able to capture their motons, it would be better - maybe just my style.

Pity, not natural look, especially eyes. For this kind of shots, should anticipate the action and get the peak time. I also prefer some eye contact if possible. Try again?

David, hope u don't mind my comment in the last post. For stage performance, we usually try to get peak action. Not really necessary eye contact, but may be nice if possible. Sometimes I just half press and wait, wait, and wait. If no peak action, then I don't fire. Here is an example without eye contact according to what I referred to. Sorry for borrowing your thread.

Happy shooting.

Sorry ToMsHen, your example very irrelevant, your picture is showing a MC or presenter. She will definetely will give plenty of eye contact and facial expression to the audiences. If you see in concert (especially classical) the performers seldom make eye contact during performing, since they have to concentrate on the instrument. Can not compare Apple and Orange.......

Hey David,

You really like these gals huh? Saw a lot of nice pics of them by you, even know their names

One thing I noticed about them is that they don't really smile much when they perform & all three perform as a trio only on a few items (at least the performance I saw, there was only one occasion when all three played together).

I think you're right about them not usually having eye contact with photographers as I noticed this too when I shot them at a private function they performed at. I guess it depends on what instrument they are playing & how confident/familiar the performer is the particular piece they are playing.

I got some closer range pics of them but not so nice as yours as the lighting wasn't so good.

I like their music, especially the Shanghai Bound's (did I speel it correctly) soundtrack, I haven't hear this soundtrack for years.
Are they still performing in Singapore right now?

Not sure, took them on 11 Feb at one of the Esplanade restaurants, most likely balik China.

So which you like best David? (The girls I mean)
