Question One of the greatest mysteries of the universe

Why do people like to take their wedding shots at the wall at Fort Canning, where all the headstones are?

I've even seen some pics of couples posing at the cemetary within the same premises! This has been going on for as long as I (and probably) you can remember. Are people just not aware? Or are they not bothered?

    Hmm?

well, it happens here in Jakarta too ...
we have 'Taman Prasasti' which is an old (dated back to 1700) cemetery, .... and I've seen many pre wedding there ..

Coz it's just beside ROM, and u can easily achieve a thin DOF look.
Furthermore, the couples don't usually care what is behind them at tt moment.
And almost all of them won't ever notice.

For a low couple of hundreds, no need fly all the way to Botanic Gardens to do some simple shoot.

    heh.

One exception is you're coming to ask for a luck 4D number with offerings.

Actually, wouldn't that mean love eventually dies?

    Should respect the dead.

hi, the grass slope where the headstones are, where they have concerts, is/was actually the old graveyard used by the colonists in the past. according to records, the bodies were exhumed, some headstones were salvaged and cemented into the walls where we see them 2dae. some of the more prominent headstones of the local jew community are found in the armenian church 2dae.

well, i guess ppl and stomping and rolling all over the resting place of people who died abt 150 years ago..

    my 2 cents worth

Because like that their wedding photos then got meaning mah.....

"Only death can bring us apart"
    "Lifelong love till the graves:

Although some people would rather say it's the best way to describe

"Marriage is the tombstone of love" aka "婚姻是爱情的坟墓"
