Default Numbering photos using PS CS2/Picasa 2

Hey guys,

did a shoot for a group of classmates and offering to help them print the pictures.
Is there an automated way to add running numbers to the pictures using either of the 2 softwares stated? That way when i upload the pics, my frens can just email me which pictures they wish to print. Hope to get some help on this. TIA!

just post the photos on photobucket site, ask your friends to email you the filename will do, if you want to embed the filename into the photos (filename or number in images areas) you need to find a photoshop script to do it, do a google search with the key works "photoshop script" and "filename".

you need to place it in the script folders of photoshop, some editing of the script maybe needed, and you can write an photoshop action to include the script for automation processing of all the photos....

you may need some time to figure how it works, so just do the short cut way of upload to a site and ask them email you the filenames

You can do batch rename easily.
