Just remeber that there are two versions of Rodinal. Rodinal and Rodinal Special.
Rodinal is a high acutance developer, whereas, Rodinal Special is a fine(r) grain developer that was developed from the original Rodinal formulation. Cathay might still have them. I used to buy Rodinal in bulk diectly from Agfa. Unopened, they keep forever! |

Try Ron's Camera Shop, Adelphi Basement, near the escalator, he may have some old stock. I did readsomewhere that the rodinal formulation is up on the net, for experiment....somethingabout copyright has expired...hmmm. At your own risk I suppose@!

I need to buy developer for my school's darkroom. I heard that Rodinal is good and very economical in use and can be stored for a very long time. I've once used the DDX for our school darkroom course but it's too expensive and too waste can only dilute up to 1+9.

![]() Yes, it stores for a very long time, and unopened bottles keep extremely well. Perhaps if the order is large enough, you could get Rodinal from A&O directly. A&O now manufactures it. Or, even start a Mass Order. http://www.ao-imaging-solutions.com/...a0b7fca1db63be You may even want consider the Neutol range of paper developers whist you're at it. I used to use a lot of Agfa products (my preferred brand) when I used to shoot professionally a while ago. They had great B&W films, chemistry and papers, and I also loved their chromes. It was sad to see them go. |

Well if u are buying for ur school darkroom, why not try HC110 (liquid) use Dil h (1:63) if u really want to save chemical, or D-76 in powder form (mix it and use it) for more general purpose developing.
Rodinal probably is pretty hard to get, though they last almost forever though (I still have a bottle of 250ml and 500ml) and they can be abit grainy. Think for school use try to get something that u can get easily, and suitable for general developing. |

I am not sure if Ron's camera still sell rodinal. The last time i bought from there was >1/2 a yr ago. He still have 2 big boxes then. Maybe give it a try? If u really need some rodinal, maybe i can spare you some.

Hi guys. Looking to get a bottle of rodinal or the special version locally. Seems like rodinal is listed as hazmat and hard to ship in. Anybody in the know saw some for sale recently?
