Freelance Videographers for hire!

Hello, let me first introduce myself...
I'm 21, currently in the ARMY as a Videographer. I have great passion in making shortfilms, my films have contended as a finalist in both last year Mediacorps' project pilot and this year Canon DV Fest06.

With my indepedent filmmaking exprience, I realised that just doing shortfilms alone wouldnt do it as for one, the budget will kill - As I am doing this as a hobby I do have to come up with my own money most of the time. With this I realised that if I can utilise my skills or talents along the same line doing event/wedding videos to generate alittle bit of allowance and at the same time cultivate my skills in videography would be a win-win situation - I have fun doing what I like, and at the same time learn and do something productive and also get some allowance.

I currently own a Canon-XL2, several home-made lights and I work very closely with a movie-prop-making company.

i have aredy add u in my list.
btw have u ever take any wedding video and events b4?
i have no doubt on your ability to take short film, training video or corporate. but events and weddings are slightly different.. there is no take 2.. no NG or retake. always have to anticipate b4 the couples.
but i am sure u can handle it well once u expose to jus a few experience as u have all the basic skills and kowledge required.

Hi Sundazz, you are absolutely right about the difference in production and event coverage..
no take 2 :P

I have done 3 weddings, and 3 event coverage which included a church event, service and an GRC event which featured PM Lee.. pretty fun.

But I must say I need much more experience, in both technical side(for example setting up a 3camera shoot for a concert) and the 'right place, right time' side...

then shd not be any poblem.. we can have a cofe session and tok more on how we can collaborate and help each other.

well.. i am thinking.. in the photography sement in tis forum, they oftenly meet up for cofe, TCSS.. shall we all organise a meetup too?? get to know each other.. socialise abit

anyway.. i co-own a small setup production hse.. do corporate, training video, audio post, vo recording, audio dubbing, montages, seminars and wedding.. hoping to concentrate more on post productions as age catching up.. so hopes to collaborate w u guys to concentrate on shoot, and i can provide the post.

i started off video prod in the a!rf@rce doing training video (>10yrs ago)...

A brief intro of myself
I’m 25 years of age, and have been working as a freelance video-grapher for almost 8 months now. The projects I have been involved in, are mainly weddings, corporate videos and events. I’m currently getting my projects from a company quite similar to sundazz’s and I am interested in increasing my contacts, work, and at the same time learning more and improving on my craft.

Like David, I also have a keen interest in crafting stories, to make a script come to life. & I hope to be able to become a DOP for TV or films in the future, though it’s still quite a far off dream.

I also have experience in editing on projects like events and weddings, and if you are interested in exploring more on this collaboration, please feel free to drop me an email (gab@emeharkeh.net) and if possible, we can have a meet up and at the same time show you a short demo-reel of my past works.
