Any comments appreciated. What strikes you in this picture.

Ok, the first thing to ask yourself is were you trying to take a picture of the art? Or were you trying to take a picture of the artist(or the artist making the art)? Currently, what you have achieved is a capture where her art is taking center stage in your image.

Could you have approached the subject from another angle such that you could have gotten a portrait of her, while having her art still in the picture? If you had approached from the front maybe? With her art upside down?

Of course, if you were trying to photograph her art, then you've achieved it because the art gets all the attention.

What strikes me most is that she's trying to reproduce an art while you are trying to reproduce a reproduction of that art.

I prefer with the artist's face in the photo. Also, the shoes (legs) on the top shouldn't included in this photo...

Thanks for all the comments. I've been overseas and was unable to comment earlier. I guess this shot does confuse people in perceiving what is the main focus of the photo. But I feel that it draws people to appreciate both the painter and the painted. What do you think?

Agree with the comment to get rid of the shoes.
