Hi all,
I've just bought a used SMC KA 28mm f2.8 lens. It works ok judging from the photos taken with it. However, it rattles quite loudly (sounds like something loose in the lens) when it is shaken, expecially when shaken vertically. Is this normal/typical or is something wrong with it? Would be grateful to hear from owners of similar A lens whether they have the same experience with their lenses. Thanks. |

something is defintely loose in there. there should not be rattling noise. perhaps you can bring it to the service centre to check it out?
otherwise if image quality is ok and the lens is cheap..to just let it be. |

airconvent, thanks for your comment. I think I'll let it be. The lens works fine: quite sharp, good contrast and colour rendition. Here's a sample taken this morning, for those who may be considering getting the KA 28mm f2.8
