Buying from US, international warranty?

I am wondering does the pentax camera and lens comes with international warranty?

I read the above and it seems you can get international warranty FOC but seems a hassle.

Does anyone know the local pentax agent policies? Thinking of buying from bhphoto. Anyone with experience?

Pentax cameras & lenses come only with local US warranty if brought from US

You can get an International Warranty Card that allows you to get service around the world.

Dun buy camera online from US, US custom does not allow battery in the delivery package. Learn the hard way when I purchased my fx07 from amazon.

really? i got one of my cameras from the us [adorama], and it had a battery in it...

Strange, but I have not experienced that problem with any of my purchases. And I know of friends who have purchased laptop batteries from the US with no problems whatsoever. To my knowledge US customs doesn't have any restrictions on batteries, neither does it appear on Singapore custom's list of prohibited items.
