    Default Broadband rate

    Can somebody advise on this?
Have upped my broadband plan from 500 kbps to 1500 kbps.

But note that my PC still reports Prolink 8000 still reports 3.4 Mbps.

My DSL icon shows 1326362 TX
and 7258231 RX at 3488 kbps

    Am I missing something here?
Is my software setting making the hardware go slower than it's potential speed?
Is there some setting I must make with the Prolink 8000 that can make the connection faster.

Or is everything OK? Speed of internet connection is as it should be at 1500 kbps broadband connection?

It's limited from the ISP site. The connection rate shown is the physical limit of the line. Try to do a download from a local ISP and note the download speed. I think this topic should be in the Kopitiam thread.

same here.. from 512 to 1.5. the reading on the 'connect to DSL dialup" didn't change but when u download something you will notice that it is much faster. most of the time
