Hi everyone
I am living in Australia atm and Pentax has a relativly good market here, but all their camera packages (including K100D) are packaged with sigma lens, not pentax. I was looking at getting the Sigma DC 18 - 125mm F3.5 - 5.6 packaged with camera... does anyone have this lens or has used it? Is it a good enough lens to keep me happy on 2 month holiday? I am worried that maybe the images will all turn out to be too soft :S Also I am considering getting a 50mm prime.... what lens are the easiest to come by nowdays (will be stopping in sg for a few days). Thanks in advance ![]() |

the sigma 18-125 is known to be a good value for moeny lens with good sharpness and contrast. i used the 18-200 before and i must say the colour and contrast are very good. it produces warmish tones.
but dont buy just because it is cheap.a DSLR is a whole system. you may buy pentax now, but also consider other factors like how easy is it to get 2nd hand stuff or sell stuff or teh availability of lenses for that matter. |
