hi fellow CSers and in particular L-1 users or those familiar with it, does anyone happen to know if the kit Leica D lens offers full-time manual focusing (ability to focus manually like finetuning while focus mode is set to AF)? There's a setting in the menu that says AF+MF so I take it that it should work but it doesn't. I know that the lens focusing is powered by the camera in case anyone misunderstands my question. If this lens does not have the ability to do so, my next question is what is the AF+MF function for? I've searched the panasonic website to no avail. Anyone knows or knows someone who might know? Thanks very much!

At least on the Olympus, AF+MF mode works like this:
When you half-press the shutter release the lens will focus...if you continue to hold the shutter release in the half-pressed position you can then manual focus. Manual focusing doesn't work if you're not half-pressing the shutter release. Hope that helps. |
