If you are confident, please enlighten me how you derive at your answer ![]() Which nikkor lens was used to take the following shots? both are iso200 1/100 f/2.8 choices 17-35mm f/2.8 17-55mm f/2.8 ![]() Photo 1. ![]() Photo 2. ![]() [pardon me if pic too noob... no time this money as i was rushing... #1 on the 17-35 #2 on 17-55 The 17-35 should be slightly sharper, IMHO |

the first pic is the 17-35.
the 2nd pic is the 17-55. 17-35 bokeh ain't so good/smooth.

sharper cant tell diff cos i reduced the size too much
but photo 1 got brighter yellow and blue photo 2 got warm warm colours right? still got any more reasons? |

haha, i don't know about the bokeh, but the 17-35 isn't all that sharp in the center, however, at the sides, it's tack sharp, probably sharper than any lens ever made. (correct me if i'm wrong)

so photo1 bokeh not that good very sharp vibrant colours photo2 bokeh is a bit better sharp enough warm colours |

17-35mm is sharp from center all the way to the four corners of the photo.... my understanding...

compared to the 17-55, the sharpness on the center is less actually. the 17-35mm is more superior in overall sharpness. (because you don't compose your photos only in the center, i think)
