Exclamation Vosonic 8360 - urgent question

Hope this is in the right section!

I was wondering if anyone could help me, is there anyone out there who's used the vosonic 8360 with an Olympus 2 gig xD card?

I purchased the device specifically to use for backing up this type of card (shooting Olympus raw format) and it really doesn't seem to work. About every 8 photos or so it will decide for no reason that the file is corrupt, comes up with "ATA DRQ timeout error" and freezes. These files are then unable to be copied or viewed.

There is nothing wrong with the cards or the files I can view and download from camera straight to computer with no problems.

I'm about to leave for a 3 month trip and need to know urgently whether it is likely to be my particular machine , so I should return it for a replacement or whether they will all act similarly so I should demand a refund

I have upgraded the firmware and it still acts the same way

Forever in your debt for any help!!!

Mel.

is your copy speed (see options) set to normal, high or ultra? try setting to normal and see if you still get any errors. i have no problems copying from my 1gb xd cards.
