Default Hot Spot...correctable?

I'm just wondering if the lenses that have hot spot problem generate photo of bad color in IR as well...

I took a few shots with my Tokina 12-24mm, and I got hot spot at f/4, but I just want to ask if anyone of you guys have tried to correct it, such as removing the color 'moire', desaturate or any other ways?

Is it possible to correct hot spot? I have yet to try that, so I thought of consulting you people before I bring my lens out for IR again...

I usually just desaturate the colour IR photo into b/w if there's hotspot.....

If it is not too serious, it could be possible to correct for it using Photoshop.

Technically, yes its correctable..... just whether worth the time and effort. You can zoom in many times and use clone bit by bit.

I see...sigh, if I have to use my lens, then I'll have to bear with it.
